Haute couture, manicures and professional hair-dos may not be the usual pre-school pastimes – but more and more children in Russia are joining the race to look good.

From the daily grind to party wear, kids nowadays have every occasion catered for. Elite childrenswear shops are springing up across the big cities with one chain alone claiming a turnover of US$ 30 million a year. What's more their clientele is growing all the time.
