Passenger jet retires after 40 years' service

The Russian flagship air carrier Aeroflot has stopped using Tupolev 134 planes. The last flight of the passenger jet took place on New Year's Eve.
The plane was in service for almost 40 years, becoming one of the most widely used aircraft in the country's aviation history.
In 2002 it was banned from flying to Europe as it did not meet noise and emission standards.
It'll be replaced with a new generation of aircraft, including Russia's latest passenger plane, the Sukhoi Super Jet 100, as well as the Airbus.
