'Santa shuttle' heads for International Space Station

The Russian shuttle Progress M62 has taken off for the International Space Station. The cargo ship will deliver some Christmas cheer to crew members, as well as much needed supplies. It's expected to dock on Wednesday after a three-day journey.
The cargo ship is carrying fuel for the ISS, medical and research equipment and provisions for the crew, including fresh fruit and vegetables.
According to research, American astronauts request more oranges and lemons than their Russian counterparts, while Russians prefer apples to be delivered. Fresh onions, garlic and pickles are also popular food items on the station.
The crew members will also receive presents from their loved ones back on Earth.
Cosmonaut Yury Malenchenko who turned 46 on December 22 will also receive birthday presents.
