A festival of ultra short films has been held in the Russian capital for the eighth time. Its 30 participants had just one minute to express their ideas.
Time-keeping was the only restriction for the directors. Films of various styles were presented at the festival, including animations and videos shot with a mobile phone.
Some directors accompanied their motion pictures with music, while others decided to make them silent.
The jury of the festival said there was no definite criteria for judging, but pointed out that the one-minute long restriction is very useful, as it helps participants strip out the superfluous, leaving only the most important and exciting shots.
