Euro-2008: Shabby tickets to stop Russian fans from trip to Israel?

The Russian Football Union is disappointed after having received their quota of 4,500 seats for the Euro-2008 qualifier in Israel. The tickets arrived in a shabby state and the Russian side is accusing their Israeli counterparts of being unprofessional.
“We received the tickets a couple of days ago from Israel. They were really dilapidated and the stubs were hanging by a thread. So how does a fan get into the venue if the stub falls off? We sent a letter to the Israeli Football Association and asked them if all the tickets had the same quality and what should a person holding a stubless ticket do? We haven’t heard anything back from them at this point,” Andrey Malosolov, Head of Russian Football Union Press Service, said.
Thousands of Russian fans are planning on taking a trip to Israel to support their side in a crucial Euro-2008 qualifier and the main concern for them now is whether the tickets will survive the trip.
