Moscow Museum of Modern ArtOne of the newest art museums of Moscow, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art is less than a decade old but has already acquired a very impressive collection of modern works and a reputation for fearless and provocative exhibitions. Much of the collection on constant display is avant-garde art from Russia, but there are also Salvador Dali sculptures, graphic works by Huan Miro and Yukinori Yanagi installations. This is the place to go for young art, new ideas and extravagant performances. You can also sign up for art master-classes given by world-famous artists on the museum premises. post comment

35 mm35 mm ("35 миллиметров) is a movie theatre popular with lovers of art house cinema. It is where fans of Kim Ki-duk and Pedro Almodovar meet new friends. All movies are subtitled. The two-screen cinema is a cosy place in the busy capital. Popcorn is replaced with home-made cherry strudels and coca-cola with freshly-brewed coffee. Prices for tickets start from $3 and climb to $12. post comment
Open: Mon-Thr, Sun 8 am - 1 am, Fri-Sat Noon - 2 am Vogue CaféA project of top Moscow restaurateur Arkady Novikov, Vogue Café has quickly become a favorite chic venue in the vicinity of the Kremlin for moneyed Muscovites. The restaurant is a place where everything comes together – gastronomic joys, the lightness of being and the inevitable bumping into otherwise unapproachable businessmen and models. The environment is classical with professional, friendly and gorgeous staff and the vegetarian and Japanese menus will leave connoisseurs happy. It is highly recommended to reserve in advance. post commentRT asksHow realistic is the image of Russia presented in the West?
