Mikhail Lebedev

Mikhail Lebedev is a news correspondent for RT.
He joined RT's reporters group in 2007 after working in the newsroom and in Spotlight with Al Gurnov.

Mikhail reports on a wide range of issues from social welfare on the Baikonur cosmodrome to the Russian presidential elections.

He exclusively reported from a strategic bomber as Russia resumed patrols. During the British Council dispute he was the first to provide details to RT's viewers.

Mikhail was able to enter the top secret facilities to update our audience with the latest developments of the Russian military.

After graduating from Waterkloof Primary School in South Africa, he graduated from the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) with a BA in Political Science and MA in World Politics.

Before coming to RT, Mikhail worked for several Russian and western think-tanks. He also has wide experience working for international organisations like UNIDO.

In his free time he's working on his PhD and enjoys contemporary literature, playing tennis and horse riding.
